The library provides ten computers that can be used for literature search and work. They are equipped with office software (Open Office).

Five laptop work places located at the library's panorama window provide WiFi, electricity and data connectors.

In order to access licensed resources via laptops, staff members may register their laptops at the IT department. You will find more information on this in the internal wiki of the Institute.

All guests with non-registered laptops are free to use internet (excluding e-resources of the library).

The library provides two integrated scanning and copying devices. You can copy and scan in black and white as well as in full-color. Rather small-sized scanned documents can be sent to your email address, respectively, whereas all and especially bigger scans can be sent to a ftp server within the institute`s intranet: http://scanserv.cbs.mpg.de/ .
The institute's Bigmail Service allows the transmission of larger files.

The scanning devices can be used for printing, too (please choose color c01 or color c02 in your print menu).
Users who are working with Metaframe have to configure their print menus according to this instruction (internal wiki).
