Access to Journals

All print journals we are subscribing to are indexed in the OPAC (when searching for journals it is often useful to limit the search to the publication type "journal" to reduce the result sets). SFX links are integrated in the OPAC leading you to journal fulltexts.
Please keep in mind that journal fulltexts are sometimes hosted by different providers, whereas only one of these hosts may be licensed. Using the SFX buttons in our OPAC and databases as well as using the Electronic Journal Library always lead you to the correct fulltext link as these resources are continually updated with license information. Searching journals with Google may lead to a page with missing full text access rights although the journal is in fact licensed.
Elecronic Journals Library
The Electronic Journals Library is a directory of electronic journals which lists licence information and fulltext links to journals. Local licenses as well as consortial or national licences are covered (yellow dot). Journals which are freely available (open access) are marked by a green dot. The red dots mark e-journals which are not available in fulltext. In most cases abstracts can be accessed.
MPG Citation Linker
The MPG Citation Linker is a form into which metadata is to be filled in. It leads you to article fulltexts if these are available and to further information and services as well.
