Workshop on Gaze Patterns in Dynamic Displays |
To date most experimental paradigms have focused on gaze in static situations. With improvements in technology and increasingly sophisticated models it has become feasible to investigate more complex dynamic situations. By bringing together experts on eye movement tracking, virtual reality, gaze modeling, and clinical applications we hope to facilitate cross-disciplinary exchange and to discuss new paradigms.
The workshop has several aims. First, we want to better understand what models of gaze behaviour should capture. Second, we are interested in how models can be used to classify individual differences in gaze patterns and how relative contributions of bottom-up and top-down factors can be quantified. Third, we would like to discuss how models of eye gaze can be developed with clinical populations, and in particular individuals with autism. The specific presentations will be quite diverse, but we believe that this will be an effective way to foster discussion and to bridge the gap between fundamental and applied research.
