Our Institute Building

Views of the Building

Panoramic view

View from the East
This picture shows the front of the Institute facing Leipzig's Stephanstrasse. In 1998, the main building was completed and first occupied by the then Max Planck Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience. (Photograph: Hans-Joachim Krumnow)

View from South East
This part of the Institute was only completed recently, in Summer 2009. Two departments and several research groups are allocated here, as well as several seminar rooms, the new lecture hall, enhanced library and cafeteria. (Photograph: Hans-Joachim Krumnow)

Night view from western side of the Institute
Both the original (left) and the new building (right) can be seen from this view. The premises offer the nearly 300 staff working at the Institute an excellent working environment combined with the most modern use of space. The centre of the picture shows the new lecture hall of the Institute; in the front, you can see one of the Institute's scanner buildings. (Photograph: Hans-Joachim Krumnow)
