User guide

The user guide explains how to install and set up the software tools in MIPAV and JIST, as well as how to run our standard processing pipeline layout.

Additional resources

Useful information about the MIPAV software can be found on the MIPAV documentation page.

The JIST pipeline environment has additional documentation about pipelines and some algorithms on the JIST wiki page

The TOADS-CRUISE wiki page also has installation instructions and a detailed description of the included algorithms.

Supported Platforms

The High-Res Processing tools are based on Java and thus can be run on any Java-enabled platform (a full Java installation comes with the MIPAV software).

However, the tools are designed to process large data sets of high-resolution data, and some of the algorithm may require large amounts of memory, currently up to 24GB. Running the tools at a lower resolution (e.g. 1mm) is still possible with lower memory limits.

The tools are plug-ins for the MIPAV and JIST software, and may require you to update them to the newest version available at the time of release. The tools currently run with:

  • MIPAV release 5.4.2
  • TOADS-CRUISE release R3c (23 march 2012)
  • JIST 2011 (bundled with TOADS-CRUISE)

The CBS tools download package includes a bundle of TOADS-CRUISE and JIST for convenience.
