Library
Welcome to the website of the library of the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences!
The library provides literature and information services for the Institute's scientific staff.
All online resources of the library are 24/7 accessible.
Please use remote access via: https://www.cbs.mpg.de/library/service/remote-access-login (institutional login).
We are open to both employees of the Max Planck Society and the general public. However, borrowing materials is unfortunately not possible for the general public.
Our complete range of resources and all services (for example the test library, e-journal viewer, etc.) for our employees can be found on our internal MAX page.
Library Holdings
Our primary task is to ensure the information supply for the staff of the MPI CBS and to support them in their (open access) publication process (e.g. via PuRe ). Therefore, the library's collection development is primarily aligned with the institute's research priorities. Accordingly, the focus is on specialized literature from fields such as cognitive science, neuroscience, psychology, and related disciplines. Particular emphasis is placed on topics such as language, memory, perception, and other cognitive processes, as well as their neural foundations. The selection of literature is intended to provide targeted research support, not to offer comprehensive coverage of all subject areas.
Opening Hours
External researchers, students or other interested people may use the library during opening hour:
- Monday to Friday: 9 am - 3 pm
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via our email address bibliothek@cbs.mpg.de or in person.
