E-Book Publishers' Collections

All e-books which are either licensed by the library or part of MPG-wide consortial packages are searchable via our OPAC - with the only exception of Proquest data. 
The MPG-E-Books-Catalogue combines all MPG-wide accessible e-books and offers more sophisticated search and filter options for these packages.

This annotated list informs about publishers` portals of licensed collections which are relevant and advisable for convenient browsing; full text search functionalities are most often offered as well:

ProQuest

Dissertations & Theses is a database with predominantly American and Canadian dissertations and theses. The database comprises 2.3 million records. More than 925,000 papers can be downloaded in full text. Unfortunately ProQuest data could not be integrated into the OPAC yet.

Safari Tech Books (ProQuest)

Safari Tech Books (ProQuest) is an e-book collection that provides access to the electronic versions of a broad range of technical books from leading publishers like O'Reilly, Pearson, Microsoft Press et al. and Addison–Wesley.

Oxford Reference

Oxford Reference Online is a multi disciplinary collection of dictionaries, lexica, encyclopedias and reference books.

Springer Protocols

Springer Protocols is a database of laboratory protocols - instructions manuals for experiments - in the Life and Biomedical Sciences. The database covers, among others, the research fields and disciplines of imaging/radiology, neuroscience, pharmacology and bioinformatics.
