My current research centers on stress, a multi-systemic phenomenon that allows to explore the interaction of mind and body, i.e. the relation of subjective-psychological (affective and cognitive) and physiological (endocrine and neural) markers. Current research topics include mindwandering and subjective experience,
affect, subjective stress and endocrine markers as well as BDNF and its relation to stress and
neuronal integrity of associated brain areas such as the hippocampus.
