Professor Dr. Claudia Männel
Main Focus
Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience
Early language acquisition: Prosody/phonology, lexical segmentation, word-object mapping, artificial grammar learning, perceptual anchoring, voice perception, role of music-based interventions on language acquisition
Atypical language acquisition: Developmental dyslexia (phonological deficits, structural and functional brain correlates, genetics)
Comparative research: Phylogenetic and ontogenetic perspectives on sequence processing
Methods: EEG/ERP, fNIRS, eye-tracking, standardized behavioral tests
