Depression and Neuroplasticity

We explore the neurochemical, functional and structural changes in the human brain that occur during a depressive episode across the lifespan. A better understanding of the risk factors that contribute to heightened vulnerability to depressive mood and the respective neuroplastic changes in the human brain represents the first step towards development of individual prevention and treatment strategies.
