Functional neuroimaging offers a unique opportunity for studying early human brain development. Yet, little is known about individual differences in functional brain network organization shortly after birth. Precision Functional Imaging can reveal these differences, however it is challenged by difficulties inherent to infant imaging. Methodological advances that are adaptive to the developing brain can help facilitate infant imaging, particularly in moving towards precision medicine.
