**Recruitment for study participants**
INFLAME
We are looking for 120 women (aged 35-60) in the transition phase to menopause, with a BMI of 25 or higher and elevated inflammation markers.
The transition phase is characterized by an irregular cycle. The longest period without menstruation in the last 12 months should be ≥60 days (≈2 months).
Study participants will be invited back after an initial screening on the day when hsCRP (inflammation value) is measured and, if CRP > 1, a stool sample is also taken. You will be examined in detail at two points in time, 6 months apart (BL and FU). This includes MRI, questionnaires, cognitive tests, BIA measurement, blood and stool samples. During the 6 months, fiber and plant-based supplements or a placebo will be taken twice daily. In addition, health data will be collected over the 6 months using glucose patches, smart watches, and smart rings.

EXFUNK study
We are looking for young people aged 13–19 who are right-handed. Participants under the age of 18 must have their parents' consent.
Are you interested?
Participants will complete two consecutive days of testing, during which they will play a computer game with aliens and undergo an MRI scan and anthropometric measurements.
